HELP!!!!!!!!! 28 Feb 2003
I recieved my call at the end January. I check into the MTC on March 26. My Mom is driving me crazy trying to get everything bought. You site has helped in alot of ways, but what kind of overshoes should I buy? I live in the desert and we don't get snow here. Are Dark green overcoats ok? What kind of sturdy boots are best? Do i really need 3 suits or are 2 suits and extra pants better? We are finishing my shopping on March 3, 2003, so please write with your suggestions soon.
Thanks,
Elder Alen Behmer Overton, NV

Called to Serve! 28 Jan 2003
Hi, I was called to server in the Argentina Neuquen Mission before Thanksgiving and I report Feb 12. This site has been a great help, thank you Sommercorn and Calderwood. I do have a few questions:

1: How do you pronounce Neuquen?

2: In your list of items to take you list overshoes, are these rubber overshoes or insulated overshoes for colder weather?

3: About how often are transfers? I received a letter from Pres. Stewart and he said most transfers are by air, I would assume transfers happen less often because of the cost involved.

I am so excited to go and honored to serve. Thank you for your help.

recently called to serve in neuquen. 29 Dec 2002
I received my call 1 week before thanksgiving to Argentina, Neuquen so I've had my call for a while. I report to the MTC on Feb. 12, 2003. I heard from a friend that it would be smart to come check out the site to where I'll be serving to ask other elders about essential things I need to bring to Neuquen that isn't in the list of things in my checklist. I hopefully will hear from someone soon!

Please write me and let me know what a cool mission this is and any suggestions on making me the best missionary possible! Gracias...
