Stories: Fishers of Men

Displaying 1 - 1 of 1 -- Add Story

Fishers of Men 20 Aug 2006
While serving in Fisherton, Elder Tanner and I had come across the relative of a member who had mental issues related to substance abuse. One day we found him very desanimado. He said "Hermanos, no tengo trabajo." I had just been reading the story from the New Testament about Jesus telling the disciples where to cast their nets to catch fish. I used the metaphor to encourage him to seek the Lord for guidance and assured him that he would find work. A couple of weeks had passed and we came across the same fellow again, but this time he was very animado. "Hermanos, encontre trabajo! Soy pescador!"
