Baptism Stories 19 March 2013 19 Mar 2013
This last week was "r’s" baptism. He is our Branch Presidents nephew. "r" is super smart with knowing his gospel doctrine. "r" had no problem coming to church. "r" enjoyed it, to be honest. "r" lives a good drive away from Malatia, but when we visited "r", our Branch President's wife helped clear up all that he did not understand. This also helped because she is also the Primary President in our Branch. "r" is super prepared. "r" is the first boy in our branch that is active. This is super good. It will be great when he begins passing the sacrament and receiving the Aaronic Priesthood.

March 7, 2013:

S was a referal from our Branch President. They have been friends since they were young. He has been familiar with our church for a while and thanks to the Branch President he agreed to have the lessons with us. It was amazing to see his testimony grow so quickly. After a few lessons, we committed him to quit his smoking and amazingly, in like a week or two he completely quit. When we were getting close to his baptismal date, we discovered that his wife had started reading the Book of Mormon and when he didn’t have time to read that day, when he would return home from work the wife would explain what she read. The day before his baptism we found out that his godfather had passed away and he needed to go to the funeral on the day of his baptism. We were very disappointed in the evening when we found out he had decided to postpose. Both Elder Arshakyan and I were very disappointed that night, but when we woke up in the morning we noticed that S had called at 11:30pm. We returned his call and he said "so when am I going to get baptized today". We were shocked but heaps excited for him. We asked him what time was suitable and he said he’s free at 4. So we rushed and organized everything for the baptism that day and it was a great baptismal service. The next day he came to church and received the Holy Ghost. There are still miracles in our days!
