I am the daughter of Dell C. Hunt who served a mission in Australia in 1953-55. He also moved to Australia and became the first stake president in the late 50's I think. I served in the Australia Mission in 1959-1961. My first area was Redcliffe. We were a small dependent branch. I understand there is a ward there now. I have tried to find the Pollock family. He was the 1st counselor in the branch. I remember the son's name was Barry. What happened in Redcliffe? We worked out tails off and gave out hundreds of BM but had no success. I am hoping we planted the seeds. By the way I am now the Financial Secretary for the Alabama Birmingham Mission. My email is abirrell_5@msn.com.
My wife and I have visted Australia twice, 2004 & 2006 and really enjoyed the Sydney and Brisbane Temples. We love Australia and I loved Brisbane having served there for 14 months. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. May the Lord bless the work in Australia and throughout the world. |

| I am seeking some advice as to who I could contact to try to find photos of early missionaries. My grandfather was originally from Sydney and then returned as a missionary in 1896 (serving primarily in Brisbane) and then returned 10 years later as Mission President. Does the Mission Home keep records that might help or would there be a member in the area that had been an active historian for the church/mission? His name was William Armstrong. Bryan Beverley was from Utah and John Finau was from New York (I think my memory is still ok on these). these are the two missionaries who baptised me and I would like to get in contact with them. In May 1991 Bryan had been on his mission for about 18 months and John had just arrived. Hi fellow missionaries and friends who served in the ABM 1993-1995.
I put on a fireside based around the I'll find you my friend song. We used the songs, Greater than us all, My turn on earth, I have a plan... If you were there, you would remember it.
Anyone, I've finally got myself back on track in regards to doing these firesides again - (Yes I am still an active member of the church). However, all the music I had, I've given away over the years, (because I swore that I would never do this stuff again, too many headaches, however here I am going back on my word again)
So, I've tried to purchase the sheet music for My turn on Earth via the various music stores, you name it, I've tried them. So in desparation, I'm pleading with anyone who has the sheet music - if they can scan and email to me, I will forever be in their debt, (and will post any Aussie treats they request to their hearts content)
So if there's anyone out there that can help, it would be much appreciated. (PS, my first practise is in 7 hours time so time is of the essence!)
