Served: 1969 - 1972 | Associated Alumni | Comments: William L Nicholls was called to preside over the new California East Mission on May 20 1969. He was serving as President of the Atlanta Georgia Stake since 1957.
The California East Mission became a separate identity on July 7, 1969, being made up from parts of the California South and the California Missions. The Mission comprises the Burbank, and Los Angeles East and San Bernardino Regions. There was also one Mission District, the Mount Whitney District, with Branches in Lone Pine and Bishop, total membership about 600. The Mission is composed of 24 Elders from the California South Mission, 83 Elders from the California Mission, making a total of 107 missionaries. |
