Lived in New England for 6 years. Loved it.
Live in north Texas now and love it.
Have served in most positions in the church; still love the Latinos and look for them. Love to go to Spanish ward dances :) and my husband is bilingual, too; We went to Chile in 2007 and want to go back with a job and live there awhile. Who knows--
When the Riverside Mission opened I was transferred there. So I had only 6 months in SanBerdu, but I have fond memories of my trainer (singing Hawaiian songs with her playing the ukulele) and of beating the streets of Perris with Hermana Ence, who loved the language and the Latinos. And then there was The Alamo and all the crazy Elders from that time period (early 1990).
I have stayed in close contact with Sisters Moore and Gutierrez. I would love to hear from anyone else (of the few) who I knew... |
