News Item: Elder Matt Pitzer, horrible accident

Hey Elders and Sisters...
I received a telephone call from Sue Pitzer this afternoon, Matt's mom. She informed me that our awesome Elder Matt Pitzer was killed in a car accident this weekend...Sunday, February 13th, 2005. Matt was engaged to be married to the love of his life, Jamie. They were in the car accident together. Jamie is in the hospital and is banged up pretty bad. No paralysis or comas. However, Matt was killed on impact. Upon receiving this news, I thought about what we could do for the Pitzer family at this tragic time. What has come to my mind is that I could compile a book of memories and photos that we could send them. If you would like to contribute a memory that would be awesome! I know that Matt loved his mission and that he served with everything that he had. He was a great example for us all. I know that he is on the other side of the veil and that his mission continues.
