With the help and support of the Toronto family, former Czech and Slovak missionaries and mission presidents for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and other friends of the Czech and Slovak people, the Wallace Toronto Foundation was formally established in March of 2003. The Foundation's purpose is to identify and support a small number of unique goodwill and humanitarian projects in the Czech and Slovak Republics. The Foundation embodies the spirit of Wallace Toronto, past president of the Czechoslovakia Prague Mission, and endeavors to promote the ideals and values that he exemplified. The Foundation offers an exceptional opportunity for former missionaries and current friends of the Czech and Slovak people to continue to build bridges of friendship and understanding. It’s that time again. The Wallace Toronto Foundation is holding its annual summer family event. Make plans to come and enjoy great Czech food and some serious socializing. This year’s event will be held on Saturday June 28th from 12-4 pm at Lone Peak Park in Sandy Utah.
The foundation will provide the food and some of the fun. You get to bring the rest. Bring your whole family and invite everyone you know who has ties to the Czech & Slovak Republics.
Not only will we be eating great food and socializing, but come to hear a report on our 2007 projects in the Czech & Slovak Republics and our big plans for the rest of 2008.
This year, our project will be held September 19th and 20th in Bohemia. It is a project that will make an impact in the lives of children. You can get involved in many ways, so come to find out how.
