Called to Serve
Called to Serve Him in the Bristol Mission,
Chosen there to witness for His name;
With His help we'll find the souls who'll listen
And with joy His word proclaim.
Chorus
Onward, ever onward, both in England and in Wales,
Onward, ever onward, for our spirit never fails,
Forward, pressing forward, many converts we must bring.
Truth our message, please accept it,
We are here to serve our King.
Teaching as we're prompted by the Spirit,
Gospel truths so beautiful and just;
We'll proclaim God's plan for all to hear it,
Build relationships of trust.
(Chorus)
When the people hear our mighty story,
And can feel our testimonies true;
They'll accept the Heavenly King of Glory.
Join as Saints of God anew.
(Chorus)
O Baptize, O Baptize
by Jon G Neeley
written in Plymouth, England - July 1970
The England Southwest Mission is the greatest on
the earth;
For people of England are of noble birth.
With love and concern and the straight "iron rod"
For we, as the Elders, to bring them to God
Chorus
O baptize, O baptize! Yes that is our goal;
To bring the true gospel to each English soul.
We have inspired men to guide us while in the
field,
To President Madsen, we shall humbly yield.
He'll help us to effectively present the "iron rod";
It's our testimony, that he's sent from God.
(Chorus)
We that if we serve with all our heart, might and
mind,
Then pure Golden people we shall surley find.
Then with the Spirit of the Lord to just touch their heart;
From their ignorant ways, they shall gladly depart.
(Chorus)
Go
Forth Together Believing Only By
persuasion,
And love unfeign'd
Shall his Holy Priesthood
In righteousness reign!
Chorus
Go forth together believing,
You have a work to do;
Go forth together believing,
The Lord is calling you.
Only with His Spirit,
Reprove or control;
Then show forth great love,
And grow in your soul!
(Chorus) |
Only lead with
kindness,
Shun guile, shun wrong,
Conquer vain ambition,
Be faithful, be strong!
(Chorus)
Only speak sincerely,
Good motives commend,
For soul saving action,
Sing praise and Amen!
(Chorus)
Together, believing, Amen! |
Wonderful and Marvelous
Wonderful and Marvelous is Jesus to me.
Sweeter than the honey, on the honeycomb is He.
Jesus is real,
He'll never fail,
I will serve him fathfully,
Throughout Eternity.
Sung as a round
With Tounges of Angels
by Benjamin
Batt
Oh hear and harken the word has come forth,
the Lord is calling the ends of the earth.
to know His goodness His mercy and love,
and rejoice with the chorus of angels above.
There is no message as pow'rful and great
this plan continues for all our sakes
no hand or power can slow down this work
as the stone rolling forward it covers the earth
We are the Messengers With Tounges of Angels
living witnesses of Christ by the Spirit
we will teach the hearts of men
we'll reach and glorify the Father in His work
We are the Messengers With Tounges of Angels
standing up for all that's right
with the Spirit by our side the world is open wide
as messengers of love we will go forth
carry the message forward work with all your might
help all his children to come into the light
Jesus is with us we are with Him though the fight
with Faith Hope and Charity in might
Lord let us praise Thee and spread Thy work abroad
that souls may know the price love affords
Thou in Thy mercy can change the hearts of men
if they come unto and love Thee they may return to heav'n
We are the Messengers With Tounges of Angels
living witnesses of Christ by the Spirit
we will teach the hearts of men
we'll reach and glorify the Father in His work
We are the Messengers With Tounges of Angels
standing up for all that's right
with the Spirit by our side
we're going to spread the gospel to the world
the Bristol Mission's flag is now unfurled
We'll Keep A Welcome
Soloist:
Far away a voice is calling, bells of memory chime.
Come home again, come home again,
They call thro' the oceans of time.
Congregation:
We'll keep a welcome in the hillside,
We'll keep a welcome in the vales,
This land you knew will still be singing,
When you come home again to Wales.
This land of song will keep a welcome,
And with a love that never fails,
We'll kiss away each hour of Hiraeth,
When you come home again to Wales.
We'll kiss away each hour of Hiraeth,
When you come home again to Wales.
