I'm looking for an update on a couple of members that I knew when I served there. Can anyone tell me how Maria Marriott and Fatima Ghent and their families are doing? I haven't heard from them in awhile. They were in the Miami Springs ward when I was serving. Thanks!! |

I've really noticed that there aren't a lot of Spanish-speaking Elders from my generation. WHERE ARE YOU GUYS!
My mission was the best investment of my life.
Where are you Elders Curtis, Larsen, Jones, Smith, Iacona, Booth, Sanchez, Morrill, Rawson, May, et al?
I miss you guys so much- and I still have yet to get back to Miami. I need to do that soon. Anyway, I'll look for you at the mission reunion then if I'm here in October, and not away at the war- AGAIN!
Thanks for the memories- and I wish I could get in touch with a few members from the area, but those folks weren't exactly the most computer able people in the world. Someday.

Hi, I'm a close and personal friend of Elder Frank Román, Fl. Ft. Lauderdale Mission, 1997-1999 under President Potter, I believe. Well, he just turned 24 and it's too late to do this for his bday, but I want it to happen for Christmas. 1. I need a response, just a short one, in my personal email, from all those who know him and served with him. This includes Hermanas. I'm trying to get a list together of those who he served with because I'm going to have a shirt made with the name of the mission and the insignia or whatever and then all postage, markers, etc, paid my me, I want it sent around one by one and please don't take your sweet time, I would like each to contribute whatever they would like... thoughts, memories, letters... and then I would like it to either get back to me or be sent directly to him. 2.He is in Orem right now working on his Ph.D in Radiology. More info later. So if you guys could help me pull this together, I would be very VERY grateful. Thanks a bunch and God Bless.

I have been thinking about Florida a lot lately and miss it horribly. Since returning, I haven't attended a homecoming/farewell or anything that reminds me of the mission that doesn't get me a bit misty. What an awesome experience...no matter how hard it was. I never thought I would say it but I would do the mission again--actually, maybe I wouldn't. Anyway...much love to the Ft. Lauderdale mission--the best mission in the world. |

- What kind of cloths should I bring?
- Are there a lot of Brasilians (speak portuguese) and those who speek spanish?
