In January 1973 I was diagnosed with cancer but elected to stay in Germany, get treatment, and finish out my mission - which I did.
Upon finishing my mission I married Jean Rasmussen. I attended the U. of Utah College of Medicine and to pay for my education I joined the Army. I did two tours of duty in Germany stationed in Babenhausen 1982-4, Darmstadt 1984-6, and Heidelberg 1996-1999. It was wonderful to return to Deutschland and see again that many of the branches I had worked in were now wards.
