Comments:
One sure thing about life is that it will always change. After I graduated the mission field I was blessed to be employed as a vet-tech by Dr. (President) Boam. (I must say, he is the best employer I have ever had, and one of the best veterinarians I have worked for in my 15 year career). While working in Salt Lake I met my eternal companion and very best friend, Rob. As my life progresses I find myself more and more thankful for the covenants my spouse and I entered into that beautiful (freezing) December day in 1996. Our children are the joy of our lives! Zachary is 12 now, and his little sister, Courtney, is 10. They grow so fast—we just pray we are doing an adequate job teaching them the principles of the gospel to see them through the trials of this life. This life brings trials in many forms. I have recently been diagnosed with systemic lupus, among other ailments, and have faced the prospect of my mortality on more than a couple of occasions, but Heavenly Father has graciously allowed me to remain here to continue my mission in life. For the past 8 years we have been in Las Vegas caring for Robs father. At times it is difficult to watch the aging process, but we love having Granddad with us, and we love hearing his fantastic stories of WWII, and how he met his wife, and the success they had raising nine children. I tell people that I have ten children myself, they are just stuffed into two little bodies! We aren't able to have any more children, but the knowledge that my little family is eternal is a great comfort to me. My husband has been my strength and handkerchief through many a trial. I am so blessed--just look at the beautiful babies Heavenly Father is allowing us to love, teach, and one day have for eternity! How could we ever want for more?
