I learned the tricks of the trade and with the help of ranchers in Toele, Utah I have aquired the necessary ingredients to make it here in Utah. Imported Paprika from Hungary is used as well as top quality pork and sausage casing. I can do either smoked or sutni valo (unsmoked). Both are finom.

The music swap on the website is going along fairly well, but I know that a lot more people expressed interest in it than are actually really using it. So I have a new proposal that doesn't require long waits as music uploads and downloads - The Unplugged Swap. Here's how it works. You send me a CD (or CDs) with a copy of all of the Hungarian music that you have, preferably in MP3 format. You also send me a check for $5 to cover the cost of CD-Rs, cases, and return postage. I take all of the music that everyone sends, make a set of CDs containing all of the music in MP3 format, and send a set of the CDs to everyone who participates. If you would like to get music, but don't have any to send, you can send a check for $25, and I'll still send you a set of everything I get. $5 of that is for postage and materials, $20 of that is to convince you to send music instead of paying $20. For those of you who do contribute music, you must contribute at LEAST one full album. A couple of MP3s you found on Kazaa won't cut it, and neither will downloading an album off of the web swap site. I will check.
Also, if you participate, please make very high quality MP3s. If you need help with this, let me know.
For reference, I currently have more than 280 songs on the swap web site, which would fill 2 CDs with MP3s. I also have about 4 more albums of my own that aren't up there. All of that will certainly be part of this swap.
If you want to participate, please send me an email by April 27. If you see this after April 27, email me anyway. At the very least we can arrange for you to get a copy of the results of the swap ($25, unless we institute another swap).

Hey all. I recently spoke with President and Sister John and Zellah Toth. Just an update on Pres Toth's health. He's got an infection in his left forearm that has made it swell up. He's on antibiotics, but so far no significant improvement. Also, his heart condition isn't doing super well. So PLEASE everyone, remember them in your prayers.
Also, I recently got an email from Evan Fish. I guess he's a recently returned missionary from our beloved Magyarorszag. Anyway, he said the Peterson's are coming home this summer and plan on visiting SLC. I proposed not too long ago a summer reunion involving ALL eras of the mission. What better way for us "older" missionaries to get caught up on the news of the Church in Hungary, and the younger missionaries to meet some of the first missionaries there in Hungary? I'm sort of from the middle, having served in 1995-97, so I would love to do both.
Anyway, PLEASE STAY TUNED FOR AN UPCOMING ANNOUNCEMENT. I'M LOOKING TO USE ALL OF THE PERSUASIVE POWER OF WHICH I'M CAPABLE TO GET PRESIDENTS AND SISTERS WILDE, TOTH, NEMETH, AND TOTH TO COME DOWN.
As many of you, I'm no longer in Utah, but what better excuse to go back there than to visit with some great brothers and sister with whom we all share a common bond.

Sziasztok! There are a few relatively new movies out that have to do with Hungary.
1. "I Spy" (rated PG-13) was filmed in Budapest. I've watched some interviews with Eddie Murphy and he actually pronounces "Budapest" correctly! jo neki.

2. "The Grey Zone" (rated R) My parents saw this (they aren't LDS so they are allowed to see R movies :) ) and said a lot of it is in Hungarian since the prisoners were Hungarian of course. Synopsis - "This is the story of the Sonderkommando – “special squads” of Jewish prisoners forced to help Nazis execute their people, in exchange for an extension on their own lives. While carrying out their grisly duties, a team at Auschwitz organizes an armed revolt, but a teenage girl who survived a gassing puts them into a moral quandary"

I agree with Jeff Butler's message. I think we ought to do something. I organized about some during 97-2000, but since then I've graduated from the Y and am now living in Oregon going to law school. I still have a lot of contact info for Presidents Nemeth, Wilde, Jozsef es Janos Toth, and the missionaries who atteneded those reunoins. My proposal is something in the summer to ease the traveling for those coming from out of state. Any thoughts? Please email me: jfarnswo@law.uoregon.edu.
