Jen and I were married in March, 1995. We lived in Washington for a year, and then moved to Mecca in Provo, Utah. We have a pleasant home and live happy lives. We have three children. Our first two are boys: Bryn Mawr (sound familiar to any who rode the EL in the Northside?), and Ashton Monroe. Our newest family member is a little girl, Leland Park. She is 15 months old.
Jen works extremely hard as a homemaker, and I work as a plumbing contractor. The Church remains central in our lives, and we are always busy with one flavor of project or another.
My callings have all been busy ones since returning home: Varsity coach, Scoutmaster, Bishopric a couple of times, and others. I have found that nothing can compete with serving Heavenly Father. Though life has bumps and twists and turns, faith in He who knows and loves us best can sustain us. Death has less sting, and disappointment has less bite knowing that Heavenly Father is in the driver's seat. He loves us, he's teaching us, and preparing us to return to him. |
