New Area Authority Seventies
At general conference April 3,35 new Area Authority Seventies were sustained, and another 13 released. There are now more than 260 Area Authority Seventies serving in six Quorums of the Seventy.
LeGrand R. Curtis Jr., 51, Salt Lake City, Utah; attorney, partner, Manning, Curtis, Bradshaw & Bednar; member of the presidency of the Salt Lake University 6th Stake; president of the Italy Padova Mission 1998-2001, stake president, high councilor and bishop. Married Susan Jane Cowan; five children.

LeGrand R. Curtis Jr., 45, Butler 27th Ward, Salt Lake Butler West Stake; stake president; former stake executive secretary, high councilor, bishop, elders quorum instructor, and missionary in the Italy North Mission; attorney; received bachelor's degree in economics from BYU and juris doctorate from the University of Michigan; born in Ogden, Utah, to LeGrand Raine and Patricia Glade Curtis; married Jane Cowan, five children. She is counselor in Relief Society presidency; former counselor in stake Primary presidency, Relief Society president, counselor in Primary presidency, Relief Society instructor, and Beehive adviser; received bachelor's degree in education from BYU; born in Salt Lake City to Richard Morris and Marjorie Orme Cowan.
Tom served in Germany 1994-1996; Jessica in France 1998-2000; Matt in Albania 1999-2001; Jonathan in Russia 2001-2003; and Sam in Taiwan 2003-2005. The Curtises now have seven grandchildren. |
