"Batsu"-ed with Laryngitis?! 17 Oct 2003
My companion and I were out "kobetsu-ing" in Tsukisamu at a danchi (two story apt. complex) and I decided to be s smart aleck because it was cold and raining and dark. There were no lights in the outside hallways and the building looked desereted. My dode was four doors down and I decided to act as if I was having a very animated conversation with a kin-jin through the door I was at. I went on babbling away when I realized there really was someone on the other side of that door. An itty bitty little voice invited us to come in. My Nihonjin comp came up to me and had to finish my conversation because I was sooo caught off guard that I stood there dumbfounded. My Japanese was really horrible and who knows what I was saying. Needless to say we were invited in by a little old grandma who invited us to have HOT pepperoni pizza with her and watch the U.S. Olympic Men's volleyball team play on t.v. If I remember right, I don't think we did watch the game, but then again, I did wake up the next morning with LARYNGITIS for three days.
