More Otaru Memories 27 Oct 2003
Brother Caldwell, You must have been in Otaru just after me. Do you remember the name of the apartment? That was my first area and I have many fond memories of that apartment and the city. When I was there, the heater did work and on P-Days, after doing laundry we all hung our wet clothes in the kitchen. By the time we finished writing letters the place was a sauna and the windows that still had glass would be all fogged up. Glad to see that some missionaries had the ingenuity to fix those windows. Saitoh Yuki's picture wasn't still hidden behind the bedroom door was it? Her older brother was our AP and he told us to take it down and thorw it out but one of the missionaries just moved it out of sight. Did you notice that everything was uphill from that apartment. I was in the best shape of my life in Otaru.
