This was our second mission. We left early because of health problems of Elder Van Leeuwen and finished our mission in the Georgia, Atlanta mission.
We were born and raised in Salt Lake County. We met in high school. Neil went to college on a Navy scholarship. We married after college and spent the next 20 years in the Marine Corps. During that time we had our family of 8 children. Neil was a helicopter pilot and was in Vietnam twice. He taught school after retiring from the Marine Corps. We moved to Manti in 1992. Our children are all married and we have 30 grandchildren.
2010- We are presently serving our fourth mission in Salt Lake City in the Family and Church History Mission. Our family is growing. We now have 34 grandchildren, four of whom are married. Our youngest grandchild is 4 months old. |
