News Item: It's me, Sister Davis

I'm one of the few missionaries that can use the internet, so I'll add a little news for everyone. The mission is great. It's leaf-peeping season and the trees are magnificent. We're supposed to be up to 80 degrees tomorrow. Wow.
Things are changing constantly, but I'll wait to fill in some of that. The Jensens are marvelous leaders. President Jensen is a thorough and thoughtful man. And spiritual, of course. This week is zone conference and we're probably not going to be going, which is fine, except we love to see all the young sisters and elders and shake a few dozen hands and hear the great training. It always inspires me. I am so grateful to be involved in this work that meant so much to my mother and father and so many of my ancestors.
I am so proud of the elders and sisters who serve here. I look at their young happy faces and wonder how they do it: Leave everything behind and come out here to live with someone they don't know in a simple unadorned apartment and work like crazy trying to give this gospel to people who often are "all set." It's a wonderful thing. Parents should be happy/proud of their children out here. They are great. Sister Davis.

| LDS QUOTE: |
|
"You are a great army of returned missionaries. Go forward with new zeal and determination, and through your example shine the light of the gospel in this troubled world. This is the Lord’s work in which we are engaged. God lives. Jesus is the Christ. We belong to His Church. This is my witness to you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
