I'm currently living in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England which is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from London and am serving as the High Priest Group Leader. My wife Vanessa is the enrichment counselor on the Ward Relief Society Presidency
Upon my return from my mission I was called as the Elders Quorum President and the Ward Clerk, and then on my release I served as the Ward Mission Leader. We then moved and I repeated that scenario in the new ward (talk about double blessings). Then due to boundary changes returned to my home ward to serve as 2nd and the 1st counselor on the Bishopric of Mitcham Ward Surrey.
I later had the privilege to also serve as Bishop in the same ward, but sadly due to health reasons only served 3 years (but they were three wonderful years.)
My darling wife has mostly served in either Young Women's or Primary on both ward and stake levels. Only to be released to serve as a Seminary teacher and Area Seminary Coordinator. Most definitely the rock behind my family.
All this whilst working full time as an Estate Agent. Now she works full time as a wife and mother and is doing a fantastic job as always, but now without work as a distraction, though she does still work part time as the church custodian and has plans to set up her own business from home during school time in the very near future.
As for myself I've just changed work from an energy adviser to a Sales Agent for one of Great Britain's most established Satellite companies, where I specialise on selling television, phone and broadband in the domestic market.
Though the pay is good, we would not consider ourselves wealthy as to the things of the world, but we do thankfully get by.
As for spiritual blessings we are in deed blessed indeed and it is these blessings that we value the most.
I've been happily married for 19 years from March 1990 (six months after my mission) and have four lovely children.
Now that I have given a stack of background information pertaining to how my life has developed I hope to hear from many of my old missionary buddies.
My mission was definitely the framework for my life and an excellent building bloc k to start a family, career and effective church service. The kind of experience that every young man needs (though I was 23 when I left for my mission).
As for my fellow missionaries I hope all is well and thank you likewise. As for all you Kiwis thank you most especially for your friendship and support. It truly is in my eyes the best mission in the world.
May God bless you all.
Yours sincerely
Gary Sinclair
