The Managua Nicaragua Stake was created by Elder William R. Bradford of the Seventy and includes the Acahualinca, Altagracia, Batahola, Las Palmas, Lezcano, Linda Vista and San Judas wards, and the Loma Linda and San Juan branches. 2nd - On June 25, 2000, the Chinandega Nicaragua Stake is formed.
The Chinandega Nicaragua Stake, which includes the Acome, Ayapal, Chinandega, El Viejo, La Florida and Tesoatega wards, and the Chichigalpa and Corinto branches, has been created by Elder Jerald L. Taylor of the Seventy. Created from the Chinandega Nicaragua District. President — Jose Ernesto Maravilla, 33, statistical representative for BYP Int.; wife, Susana Jeanette Hernandez F. de Maravilla. 3rd - On May 9, 2004, the Jinotepe Nicaragua Stake is formed.
The Jinotepe Nicaragua Stake, with includes the Jinotepe, La Concepcion, Las Villas, Nandaime and San Marcos wards, and the Diriamba, Masatepe and Rosario branches, has been created by Elder W. Douglas Shumway of the Seventy. Created from the Carazo Nicaragua District. President — Moises Antonio Campos Obando, 44, owner of transportation business; wife, Nelly del Carmen Campos de Tellez. Counselors — Carlos Manuel Cruz, 30, taxi driver; wife, Ana Luis Cruz de Rodriguez. Javier Antonio Aburto Torres, 27, supervisor; wife, Carla Patricia Aburto de Gutierrez.
4th - On May 30, 2004, the Managua Nicaragua Villa Flor Stake is formed.
The Managua Nicaragua Villa Flor Stake, which includes the La Fuente, Rene Polanco, Schick, Villa Flor and Villa Venezuela wards, and the Los Laureles Branch, has been created by Elder Spencer V. Jones of the Seventy. Created from the Managua Nicaragua Villa Flor District. President — Francisco Ricardo Silva Mendoza, 43, auditor; wife, Maria Luisa Ramirez Silva. 5th - On January 30, 2005, the Managua Nicaragua Universitaria Stake is formed.
The Managua Nicaragua Universitaria Stake, which includes the Altagracia, Batahola, Loma Linda, Monserrat, San Juan and San Judas wards, and the Monte Fresco Branch, has been created by Elder W. Douglas Shumway of the Seventy. Created from the Managua Nicaragua Stake and the Managua Nicaragua Bello Amanecer District. President — Pio Agustin Quintero, 45, operations manager for Four Group S.A.; wife, Gregoria del Carmen Sierra Quintero. Counselors — Cesar Augusto Navarro Perez, 44, CES coordinator; wife, Maria de la Concepcion Reyes Ramirez de Navarro. 6th - On February 20, 2005, the Masaya Nicaragua Stake is formed.
The Masaya Nicaragua Stake, which includes the Las Flores, Masaya, Monimbo, San Carlos and San Miguel wards, as well as the Nindiri Branch, has been created by Elder E. Israel Perez of the Seventy. Created from the Masaya Nicaragua District. President — Jose Bismarck Contreras Rosales, 40, warehouse manager; wife, Laura Isabel Sanchez Contreras. Counselors — Fernando Ferdinando Garay Espinoza, 32, tailor; wife, Marta Hernandez Garay. Manuel Enrique Latino, 46, shoemaker; wife, Maria Auxiliadora Calero Latino.
7th - On May 15, 2005, the Managua Nicaragua Bello Horizonte Stake is formed.

Leon Nicaragua Stake, which includes the La Paz Centro Branch and El Coyolar, La Posada, La Villa Universitaria, Leon, Los Repartos and Subtiava wards, has been created by Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Presidency of the Seventy. Created from the Leon Nicaragua District and Nicaragua Managua Mission. President Rogelio Hurtado E., 48, pediatric medical doctor at Policlinica Oriental; wife, Maria Azucera Ruiz M. de Hurtado.
