My wife and I have been serving (member and leadership support) in the New York, New York North Mission since January 2010. We live in the Bronx in a second floor apartment and operate the Bishops' Storehouse on the first floor. We're in an old house 2 doors down from the Olmstead Chapel. I'm the 2nd counselor in the Bishopric and Sandi teaches Gospel Doctrine and handles several communications chores. We're assigned 12 households to home teach, and we're teaching the non-member widow of a member who recently died. We also serve as ordinance workers in the Manhattan NY Temple once a week. Being a senior missionary is challenging and very rewarding. The work is true. |
