News Item: Captcha Security Feature
Displaying 1 - 1 of 1 -- Add News
I know many of you have noticed the Captcha security feature added to the site several months ago. As painful to use as it is, it is necessary to significantly reduce the site intrusions experienced by mission.net over the past several years. This feature has reduced the amount of bogus emails received by people trying to plum email addresses from the site.
Captcha provides a simple one line interface where you enter the two words as part of your site login process. I realize that sometimes the letters or characters are hard to recognize and causes an error logging in. I apologize for that but do not have control over that feature. You will have to re-enter your login credentials and the Captcha text to access the site in that event.
I hope to be able to disable Captcha at some point in the future or get a cleaned up interface that is easier to discern but we are trying to ensure spider bots and such are not able to OCR the text and gain access to the site if they've compromised your login credentials.
Please be patient with this and understand this is for your protection and to reduce the spamming events on mission.net and to keep your data safe.
Hilsen,
