Here is a humorous and spiritual story, It happened with Elder Whiting and myself. We were on the way home from teaching. I did not have good thoughts of my companion, I can’t remember why I was angry at him. We were walking by those wonderful pools of water that seemed to always collect by pathways. In my mind I desperately wanted Elder Whiting to become one with the water. But at that moment I was moved by the spirit like never before, not for the love of the work or love for my companion. I felt as if I had been pushed into the water, I became one with the ever standing waters of the Philippines. It couldn’t have been Elder Whiting because he was too far behind me. That night I came to understand the importance of the Lord’s annointed. Also, that one should control one’s thoughts. That the Lord has a sense of humor in the way that He teaches. By the way, I did not feel clean for weeks after that experience inside or out.
