I am looking for a member that was taught in Figueira and Comibra back in 97 and was a member in Coimbra. He is from Guinea Bisau and may have returned there. He was a tall athletic man with very dark skin and a very pleasent smile. He lived with one of the older members in Coimbra, whose name escapes me, who often had people renting rooms at her home. She often took care of the missionaries and was very motherly to them in that area. If anybody knows where he is or how to contact him then let me know. My e-mail is dacoontz@yahoo.com. Ola, Quero pedir de todos que fizerem tempo em Portugal ajuda. Foi diagnosticado Cancer em minha filha e preciso de vossa fé e orações para ela. Obrigado! O nome dela é Colette e ela tem 11 anos de idade.
My portuguese is rusty. My daughter was diagnosed with Cancer and is need of your faith and prayers on her behalf. Thank you her name is Colette and she is 11 years old.

Chequei com meu companheiro em Março de 1975 à estação do combio do Porto. Estávamos abrindo a primeira area fora de Lisboa. Não tinhamos casa, capela e nem um único membro da Igreja para nos mostrar a cidade. Começamos as ter as reuniões da Igreja em uma garagem que alugamos e que também era nosso quarto. Depois fomos para uma sala do Hotel Infante de Sagres.
Se passaram 31 anos que voltei de missão. Dentro de 10 dias estarei voltando à Portugal e ai visitarei o Porto. Espero que meu coração aguente de tanta emoção.
Espero encontrar alguns dos pioneiros da época. Uma pessoa que mantenho contato e que foi o primeiro batismo no Porto (Ermelinda Lobo) - batizada na praia de Matozinhos em um dia chuvoso e frio - tem enviado notícias e falado sobre o progresso da Igreja na área, mas nada será como ver e sentir.
Se alguem souber alguma coisa, endereços, telefone de pessoas daquela época, por favor me enviem.

Meu nome é Simone, sou membro da Igreja de Jesus Cristo no Brasil desde 1992, e gostaria de pedir a ajuda dos irmãos da missão Portugal Lisboa Sul. Eu sou estudante numa Universidade Estadual da minha cidade e consegui uma bolsa para estudar por 1 ano na Universidade de Lisboa (Faculdade de Letras), mas infelizmente por não ter recursos financeiros suficientes para as despesas da viajem e estadia, estou prestes a perder essa grande oportunidade. Peço a todos que me ajudem com qualquer quantia que vocês puderem, eu serei eternamente grata. Me perdoem por pedir isso, mas não tive outra alternativa,a não ser apelar para a caridade daqueles que compartilham o mesmo testemunho. Muito obrigada, desde já.

Hey, I was just called on March 9 to Porto. Are the Madeira Islands in the Portugal Porto Mission? I'm almost sure they are but I got myself confused on the map they sent me. If anyone has any information about the mission (weather, people, church status, etc. etc.) please let me know. Thanks.

Hi, for those who remember and served with President Brown, I'm Eurico (Elder) Costa from Setubal, Portugal. I'm currently on a long term assignment in Pasadena, Californa for an IT project with Yahoo and I will be in Utah, with my family, for general conference in April. We are going to be there for about a week, and then return to Pasadena.
Is there going to be a mission reunion for this conference? It would be great to see everyone, or at least, as many people as I could :)

By the way I also served in Porto Mission between 1988 and 1990. Your name sounds familiar, but to be honest I'm not associating a face to it. Maybe you remember my younger brother (Elder Paulo Adriano) that served almost at the same time (and also in Viseu , I guess).
