For the past 10 years I've lived in Venice now, first studying, then working. After I had to give up my active singing career for health reasons, I had my own artists management for a few years, which I ran out of Venice. In 2007 I was assistant to the artistic director of the Hamburg opera house and since the beginning of 2008 I am artistic administrator (choosing singers, conductors, stage directors, etc. for our 10-12 opera productions per year and negotiating all their contracts) for the historically prestigious Theater an der Wien in Vienna (built from the money Mozart's librettist of The Magic Flute made with the opera and then home to Beethoven, who wrote a numer of symphonies and his only opera for this theatre, many other world premieres by other composers to follow). www.theater-wien.at For the past 3 1/2 years I have been sharing my life with my partner Ladislav, an operatic tenor from the Czech Republic. He will soon join me in our new apartment in Vienna, where he will be first tenor at the Volksoper. I continue to keep my house in Venice, where I spend as much time as possible.
