Toulon Bike Story 03 Jan 2005
Soon after arriving in the mission field, my comp took me to purchase a brand new bike. It sure was a nice one. The next week, we had Zone Conference in Marseille. So the four sisters serving together in Toulon all rode our bikes to the gare early in the morning. We locked up our bikes, then took the train to Marseille. Upon our return, we discovered that three of the four bikes were gone. It wouldn't be that unusual since two of the bikes were locked together but not to anything, only leaned up against a wall. But my shiny, new bike had been locked up with another sister's really ugly bike to the bike rack. The unusual thing was that someone had picked the lock, took my bike, and then, re-locked hers to the rack! I only rode uglies after that :)
