| コメント: I arrived in April 74 direct from Sydney (no LTM) and sent to the the new chapel in Rangiroa to learn Tahitian with Melton Parry. Then off to Tubuai with Lee Garner then Charles Urban. Six months later I returned to Papeete, and spent most of the rest of my time in the office, mainly as Secretaire Financier, but then as Executive Secretary for the Area Conference Committee and as Assistant des Membres for my final weeks till I left in April 76. Companions included Jacques Gohier, Brent Scowcroft, Mark Morrise, Craig (Killer) Koller, Bill Welsh (They really were piano lessons ...), Elder Carruth, and David Nay. An interesting and unforgettable time in my life. Biggest regret is never getting to the ISLV! My career path turned out to be in Computing (IT) and Telecommunications. I now find myself working at The University of Sydney, a big change from the world of industry and commerce. | |
