Served: 1990 - 1992 | Areas Served: Alton (9/90-1/91); Mission (1/91-5/91); Harlingen (5/91-11/91); Corpus Christi (Office) (11/91-8/92) | Your Occupation: Attorney | Spouse: Sharon | Comments: Sharon and I have three children (two boys and a girl). We got married about a year after I returned from my mission, and both of us graduated from BYU about a year later.
I started law school in August 1994, and my wife gave birth to twin boys the following January. After completing law school in 1997, I served two consecutive, one-year clerkships: one with a federal district judge in Salt Lake, and another with a federal court of appeals judge in New Jersey.
In 1999, I joined a law firm in Washington, D.C., where I specialized in appellate litigation. We lived in Fairfax County, Virginia, where my daughter was born in 2000.
After spending more than three grueling, but fascinating years at the firm, I accepted a job as an Assistant U.S. Attorney (federal prosecutor) in Utah in October 2002.
I am currently a primary teacher. My testimony is strong, and I remain grateful for the experience and friendships I gained as a missionary in Texas. |
