2nd Place. that wasn't so bad. it was weird seeing someone I knew on TV. Word was a great leader in the mish. I served up in the Winchester Zone with him at one point - here there and everywhere else the rest of the time. Way to Go Word. and isn't living right so much better then that Atkins Diet crap.

I just can't believe it has been 30 years+ since I entered the Washington DC mission and served under Pres and Sis Nielsen 7/75-1/77. I wonder about my sweet companions, and the good people we shared the gospel with. I wonder about the senior couples and elders we served with. And the ward members who blessed our lives. I am sure their lives have been like mine: the cycles of the Book of Mormon playing out, bringing us to Christ and home.

Has anyone else noticed D.C. South's own reality tv star? I'm talking about our budy Seth on NBC's The Biggest Loser. Crazy! I can remember when he lost 90 lbs while serving in Winchester! Anyways...I just wanted to give a shout out...Word!

My wife and I are visiting DC for a few days. So far we've been rained on in DC (nothing new there) and I finally made it to Skyline Drive and the Luray caverns. They have a fun garden maze at the caverns, too.
We've visited with a few friends from my 2 years here, and the temple is next our list. We'll be heading up to Cumberland to visit some more friends, as well.
You've got to love the weather out here. It was 90 degrees the day we landed, mid 60's the next day and it rained half the day. It rained all day the next day and today is calling for thunderstorms. There is also a chance of snow when we go up to Cumberland.
It has been great to come back. Any word on the chance of a reunion this year for the Godfrey/Sonntag/Robinson era?

Does anyone know if we are going to have a reunion near April's General Conference?

The Sister's Christmas party that was to be held on December 4, 2004 has been cancelled. We have found that December is not the best time of year to plan a get together. Hopefully we can try again soon!
Happy Holidays!

Here's the info on the upcoming bbq!
Dear Former Washington D.C. South Missionaries,
It is again time for the Robinson mission BBQ (or an Australian 'Barbie'). We are looking forward to seeing as many
of you as can come join us.
The date is September 18, you are welcome from 4 PM on. We would like to know who will be coming so
we know how many chairs to borrow. This is a week later than usual because of a High School reunion.
We hope it will work okay for everyone.
The BBQ will be a pot luck as usual with us providing the BBQ burgers. Whatever you want to bring will
be great- salads, chips, salsa, vegetable plates, fruits, sodas, dips, etc. If you for some reason can't bring
anything for whatever reason, please don't stay away.
We are anxious to hear from you.
The BBQ will be at
1310 West 1400 South
Salt Lake City, Ut 84104 .
For those who are coming on the I-15, get off on the 13th South exit, go west (away from the city) about 9 blocks to Concord Ave. Turn left at (there is an LDS chapel at the corner) one block, then right one block to 1310 West. We live in the two story house across from the church. You can use the church parking lot to park.
For those coming on the I-215, get off on the California Ave exit (California Ave and 13th South are the same), go east (towards the city about a mile) to Navajo St. (there is an elementary school at the corner of Navajo St.), turn right one block, then left one block to 1310 West.
For any of you who have lost our telephone number, it is
(801) 908-0904.
We are starting to hear back from all over the country from several of you who are coming and even those who are not able to come.
We have sent the invitation to everyone we have addresses for all over the world so everyone will know that even if they can't come, we remember them. So it should be a lot of fun!
We don't have everyone's e mail addresses so if you know of missionaries who didn't get an invitation from us, invite them and have them contact us.
Lots of love,
The Robinsons

Hello DC South alumni (Wade years)! I was just sitting here in my office when out of the blue in walked President and Cindy and the Larsens! The Larsens are in town (St George) just for a little bit before they head back home to Orem to get ready for their mission! They were just called to the Temple Square mission and leave at the end of October. Also, for those who didn't know, Elder and Sister Meeks are now serving in the Chicago (North?) Illinois mission. They've been in the field for little over a week now, I believe. I'm told that plans are already started for the reunion in October. Keep your calendars open!!

I am looking for contact info for Scott Murray and Brandi Murphy. If anyone has their phone number, address, etc., please let me know!
Thanks-
Rebecca Williams Smith

Hey everyone!!! I know I haven't talk to many of you in awhile, but life is so GOOD!. I got engaged last month to my best friend, Teresa Watkins. It's about time huh? I've been home for over two years. Our sealing is scheduled for Friday, August 27, 2004. It will be at 5pm in the Columbia River Temple, in Kennewick, Washington. If you actually want to come, all of you are invited. Just let me know ahead of time. If you can't come, that's okay, at least let me know how all of you are doing.

Thanks for all your responses to my message about driving to D.C. There has been some change in plans, partly because of car trouble, so the drive out has been cancelled, for now. Thanks!

Please update the Reunion notice for President Hamula. The reunion will begin at 7 pm. We are asking everyone to bring a Potatoe Topping. We are also trying to put together a book of Letters from the Missionaries. This letter should include a brief Statement of what your life is Currently. We are also trying to collect a list of updated addresses at the Reunion. Any information that you would like to pass on please email to Beth Schroder through the websight. (Lane Please include these details as part of the reunion notice. I could not figure out how to update the notice that I submitted)
