| Comments: Mire dita! I had the rare opportunity of serving in the Switzerland Zurich, Greece Athens, and the Albania Tirana missions. Of course, the latter is the only one in which I spent my 22 months. I served in both Tirana and Durres and loved the people with whom I served. I will cherish all of the experiences I had in Albania--everything from eating bakllava to the lack of electricity! Allison Barrett of South Jordan, UT, and I are the proud parents of a lively boy named Dallin. We live in Spanish Fork, UT and are currently the Sunbeam teachers in our ward. I spent four years (2002-2006) in the Army at Ft. Polk, Louisiana and am currently seeking a master's degree through Utah State University so I can return to the military as an LDS chaplain. I love the Albanian people! During my 12-month deployment (July 2005-July 2006) to Mosul, Iraq I had the awesome opportunity of spending my time with 120 Albanian soldiers! (Imagine their surprise when they saw an American speaking fluent Albanian!) The Albania Tirana Mission rocks! | |
