Well, life here in Sunny South Florida keeps us on our toes. You know, it's funny how the Lord answers prayers sometimes. We live in a ward that is in a bit of a rough neighborhood, so my wife has really wanted to move out and into a different ward that might be more conducive to raising children. We have been praying and fasting for a while to know what to do. We haven't really felt one way or the other, although we knew we were needed in the current ward. Well, last Monday, we found the house that we had been searching for for a couple of months. It is just the right house for us, and is exactly what we wanted and needed. We thought that was nice, but still weren't sure we wanted to stay. Well, that all changed Thursday night when the Stake President invited me to serve in the Bishopric!
I was shocked, but am thrilled to be serving with one of the best Bishops in the church. I was sustained and set apart on Sunday (December 2), and luckily my father was able to come and participate.
I'll keep you up to date on how that all works out, if I ever get time. |
