The Church News has published a list of the newly-called LDS mission presidents. Adelaide's new president will be R. Scott Strong. I do not have any more information at this time - I will post more when it beomes available.

July 2002 - Knocking On Heaven's Door |
Elder Balkcom of the Australia Adelaide Mission, has written a book entitled Knocking on Heaven's Door. It is about mission life in the Australia Adelaide Mission. Go to the website here.
While Knocking On Heaven's Door strives to uphold the teachings of the church, it should not be taken as official doctrine of the church, neither has it been approved or endorsed by the LDS Church or the Australia Adelaide Mission. |

Growth of the church in the Robinvale area has necessitated larger facilities. A new chapel building and font are nearing completion, in preparation for their dedication in October. Read more... |

1-2 January 2001 - Special Mission Conference |
|
To bring in the new year the mission celebrated together. All missionaries (except those in the Northern Territory) participated in a two-day mission conference. New Years Day was spent in a sports day held in Belair National Park, followed the next day by a 10 hour training and testimony meeting to round out the spiritual side of things.

With the announcement of many smaller temples to be built around the world, I dreamed of the day Adelaide would get its own temple. That day has come. With the dedication of the Adelaide Australia Temple untold blessings have been brought to the members and missionaries in Adelaide. Read more... |
