I have been responsible for starting Manmaking in our ward. Yes, it's the male equivalent to homemaking. The men of our ward gather at my place, we wear Viking helmets, and drink root beer from man sized mugs. We have activities like taking broken things apart and not putting them back together (to get the male perspective of the activity). Once, we combined two of mens' favorite activities, TV and bowling. We took shots at an old TV in the parking lot (with an old bowling ball) until there was nothing left. We also do a bit on figuring women out one bit at a time. No, we haven't figured them out completely.
I'm still living in the Sacramento area, and I've been simulanteously working on a electronics tech degree, and a degree in electrical engineering at CSUS in Sacramento. |
