I met my husband at a Regional Young Adult dance in Sydney. He migrated to Australia from the Philippines. A RM whose family was friends with his family brought him. He was a strong Catholic. Tokk 9 months to convert him. We were then married and sealed in the Sydney Temple. Been married 21 years. Have 2 children. Our son Dale died at age 2 months from a rare heart defect. We went 7 years with culminating infertility problems and after much pleading with the Lord was blessed with Marissa (now 13)when she was 6 months old (she is the same mix half Filipino and half Aussie). Took 10 long years battling Aussie gov officials to take her status from foster child to adoption and she was finally baptised and sealed to us when she was 10 in the Mesa AZ Temple. My husband was transferred with American Express to Phoenix AZ almost 10 years ago where we are active in the Scottsdale Nth AZ Stake. We are permanent Residents and will get US citizenship in 3 years. We will have dual and be able to keep Aussie citizenship as well. I have a degree in Politics and Mass Communications. Was a Payroll Manager for many years before Marissa came along. Then I was a part time tax consultant,Iworked 2 years part time in the office of the Sydney Temple and have been teaching piano for the last 5 years. I have been richly blessed with a loving, faithful family and our testimonies have only intensified over the years. |
