Comments:
Twenty years since we came home? Working as a Ward Mission Leader recently caused me to frequently consider how young those Elders are. My two years in the Mission Belge de Bruxelles were not the two best years of my life (I'm living them every day) but they were a time of deep growth.

Married to Julianna in 1997 (from Canada - our fathers served in the Paris France mission at the same time) who sings angelic lullabies (she is classically trained) to our four little angels (Zoe, Ava, Isabella, Sadie) - I'm being overrun by girls and loving it. Currently in Chicago, hating the weather but loving being close to family and where I grew up. I wish I was still in charge of the Sunday School bell. I run into Pres. Frogley at the temple from time to time and he's still as energetic as he ever was. Love the Church, love the Gospel. Still in touch sporadically with Jeff Bennion and Chris Crans from the old Mouscrons district at the MTC.

I think I set a record for number of towns and companions - I know I was a difficult companion to some. We live and learn. Jeff Shane and I should have been companions.

I've been back to France several times helping my Dad do genealogical research on the family line - we found the roots of la famille Breillat in a small ville called Azay-le-brule near Poitiers in southwest France. I recently did the temple work for a great (many times) grandfather who was tried and beaten for his Protestant beliefs by the French Catholics. That temple experience echoed some of the same joy I felt as we brought brothers and sisters to the waters of baptism. As Joseph Smith said, the Gospel tastes good.
