I've had overseas assignments in Haiti (great opportunity to work with the Missionaries and Mission Presidents), Bosnia, Croatia, Kosovo, Afghanistan, and made trips to Baghdad and a few other garden spots around the world. While in Bosnia, the family (with wife and 5 of our 7 children) toured western Europe by vehicle, including a mission tour through Brussels, Lille, Boulogne, Calais, Amiens, and Strasbourg. We were able to introduce the children to places we lived and worked, and some of the people we met while we were there nearly 20 years earlier. We also introduced them to their family heritage and culture. You will also notice 2 other family members in the Alumni database; Sister Janick Budge (Stephensen) who is my younger sister, and Elder Brandon Budge (nephew). |
