I remember Pres. Walker telling us that if he saw us years later he didn't want to hear that our missions were the "best two years of our lives". That would indicate that we were wasting our lives by not improving. My mission was one of the best chapters of my life, but there have been many more since. Several areas of personal growth, my wife, becoming a dad, having a career that is based on service, the last 11 years in various young men's leadership positions, etc., have all been things I wouldn't trade for anything.
I loved seeing many old friends at the reunion! Give me a call if any of you ever pass this way! |
