Comments: ***update:
I just returned a few days ago from a week in Paris! It was wonderful to speak French and eat French food and see so much of French culture and history. I can't wait to go back...next time to see some places and perhaps people from the mission. While I'm very much a red-blooded American girl, part of my heart and soul will always be in France!
Vive la France! Elle me manque toujours. (I still think the gospel is truer in French!)
How fun to see a flurry of updates in the past few days of missionaries I served with! I actually just got back from spending the weekend in Los Angeles with Sister Manoogian - she is the only one I've consistently kept in touch with. I did get to go to Salt Lake City just after Christmas to go to Lisa Norton's wedding reception where I ran into President and Sister Roueche. I do treasure the friendships I made in the mission - I only wish more of my companions were here on the site.
I'm currently the Marketing Director for a wholesale mortgage company, and I'm having a blast at it. We are a growing company, and it is really fun to be in on the ground floor and to help shape the future. I also have the pleasure of teaching cooking classes out of my home. That puts to use the skills I learned in culinary school and helps provide a creative outlet.
That's about it! Generally all is well, and I'm lovin' life! Feel free to drop me a line, or let me know if you're ever visiting sunny AZ.
I'm planning a trip to Paris in six weeks, and I can't wait to speak French and eat a pastry or two.
I'd love to hear from any of you. Que notre père vous bénisse, tous! |
