I was the the oldest single unmarried Elder for many years. I broke that streak last year. Anyone that served with me knows that I was a pain in the butt and I still am. But we had great times serving, teaching, and having a great time doing the Lord's work. There was a time when Elder Keller and I were traking in the Ala Brasil area. We came upon a house that had a door bell. But the door bell did not have a plastic cover on it. So I went ahead and pushed on the metal part of the door bell. It shocked me so bad. I could not get my finger off of it. So there I am - I rang the door bell, the lady comes to the door, I am jumping up and down holding my finger laughing histerically with Elder Keller. Unfortunatley the older lady did not find it amusing that we were standing there laughing. She said a few choice words and shut the door on us. We never did get a chance to teach her but I have to say it was funny to see the look on her face. Great times - never forget them. |
