Yesterday we came home with our third child. Andrew was born on March 18. I can't believe that we have three children ages three and under. Andrew's birth mother contacted us around Christmas regarding this adoption, but we expected him to be born mid-April. Imagine our surprise when we received a call two weeks ago saying he was born and we had to be in Florida that day. After some drama (two weeks of it!) we are all home and everybody is adjusting.
Work has taken me to Angola twice in the past three months. The official language of Angola is Portuguese and it was fun to immerse myself in the language again. I was extremely rusty however. The most fun I had was using my Portuguese skills while haggling with street vendors. Luanda is actually a pretty cool place. |
