Fui Conhecido como "Elder Douglas" na missao! I Have been married for 18 years; I met my wife at the Institute of Religion in Ogden in 1986. We have 4 children: Vickie, Lisa, Justin, and Tyler, ages 16,15,13, and 11. I graduated from Weber State in 1987, then later a Masters Degree in SpEd (Rehabilitation Counseling) from Utah State in 1991. I currently work for the Church in Deseret Industries as a Rehabilitation Manager.
Since being married, we have always lived in Utah in the cities of Ogden, Woods Cross, Riverdale and currently, Clearfield. We have seen many miracles and the love of the Lord in our lives.
I have served in many callings. Currently, I am the ward mission leader. My wife is the Stake Relief Society President in the Clearfield Ut. South Stake. I have served in various Scouting callings, Sunday School Teacher, Elders Quorum President (3 times), Stake Sunday School Presidency, Primary Teacher, Stake Young Adult Counselor, Stake High Councilor, Bishopric Counselor and Bishop.
My wife is very musically talented and has blessed our children with a love for music. Our two daughters are in high school and have both excelled in music - one in vocal and piano and the other playing the violin. They have worked hard. Tyler, is learning to play the trumpet. Justin, our oldest son, was born with some extra challenges in life, but he also has worked hard to develop talents, and brings an innocent spirit to our home.
We are all active in the Church and have been our entire lives.
I live in the ward next to Elder Jr. Cavazotti and Elder Craig Carr.
Even writing this summary now brings back many "saudades do Brasil". Amo os brasileiros! Quero prestar meu testamunho, que sei que esta igreja e verdadeira. Sei que Jesus Cristo e nosso Salvador e Redentor. Sou muito grato por amor que Ele tem por mim. Sou muito grato pelo graca e misericordia que Ele tem para comigo. Fique Firme!
