Elizabeth and Jairo Mazzagardi
Jairo Mazzagardi, 59, Nova Vinhedo Ward, Itatiba Brazil Stake; called as
president of the Sao Paulo Brazil Temple, succeeding President J. Kent
Jolley. President Mazzagardi's wife, Elizabeth I. Mazzagardi, will serve as
temple matron. He is a counselor in the Campinas Brazil Temple presidency,
a former Area Seventy, Brazil Salvador Mission president, stake president,
bishop and missionary serving in the Brazil Mission. He retired from his
real estate business. He was born in Itu, Sao Paulo, Brazil, to Antonio and
Margarida Prestes Mazzagardi.
Sister Mazzagardi, who is an assistant to the matron in the Campinas
Brazil Temple, served with her husband when he was mission president. She
is a former stake Relief Society president and temple ordinance worker. She
was born in Jundiai, Sao Paulo, Brazil, to Carlos and Thereza Chechinato
Ienne.
