Stories: The Circle of Missionary Work
Displaying 1 - 1 of 1 -- Add Story
I had the privelege after serving in the California Anaheim Mission to serve in a HP Group Leadership in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. I saw a young man sporadically attending church, and going nowhere and with a hometeaching companion who was not going. I asked to be switched to him as a companion eventually after trying to work with his existing companion to go out for many months. When I informed the families I was their new hometeacher they said we thought you already were. I had been going at the end of the month with the junior companion when the senior would not go. As a result of the prayers and work of many and actively going hometeaching for 1 1/2 years this young man made the decision to go on a mission. He was called to serve in the Long Beach Mission which surprisingly covered parts of the California Anaheim Mission when I was out. I had served in Cypress, Westminster and Huntington Beach areas which were moved to Long Beach. He served in those same areas. He served a sucessful mission. Elder Matt Neves and he came this week to see my son Ty leave to serve in Canada Vancouver. I now have three sons who have or are serving. So the Circle of a mission grows not just by converts, or by children but by reactivation and fellowshipping. The mission continues. |
