I served under President Hess in 1993. I only served for two Months because I have Cerebral Palsy. I was serving on a trial basis to see if I had the stamina to serve a full-time mission. I have always had a strong testimony and have always wanted to serve. When I submitted my papers it took the brethren a month to reply. They said that the Lord didn't require me to go, but if I truly wanted to I could serve locally to see how well I do. As I served in Moreno Valley with Elder Douglass Mills I spent a lot of time praying for a confirmation of what the Brethren said. It turned out that I did indeed receive the same answer the Brethren recieved. Currently I am living in Hesperia, CA with my sister and her husband and 5 children. I am still looking for my eternal sweetheart as well as a job. I have a BA in Psychology from Cal State Long Beach. Currently I am serving as an assistant membership clerk in the Hesperia first ward! I would love to hear from any who might know me! |
