First off, I want to offer my condolences to Sister Washburn (and all of the Washburn family) as President Washburn recently passed away on about 27 Sep 2011 after a fight with cancer. He truely was a great leader and despite my weaknesses, he helped my rely more on Heavenly Father both on my mission and even today as I type this. I am eternally blessed for this. See you on the other side.
On a side note, I Also served with Elders: Steven Maisey (Calexico), Stoney Mattheson (Hyder (east of Yuma for two weeks)), Neil Coleman (San Ysidro), Orlando Barrowes (San Ysidro), Jeremiah Lindgren (North Park), Scott Haymond (North Park), Barry Nielsen (Linda Vista), Ryan Sharp (Yuma), and Kip Wilton (Yuma)
At the time of this post I am currently deployed to Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn through about December 2011.
When I came off my mission, I wasn't sure what direction to take my life. I struggled and prayed with all of my might and I was prompted to join the Air Force. I have been serving our nation now for 15 years and am happily married with two wonderful children. Despite my weaknesses (we all have them) the Lord has blessed me in so much abundance as he always knows what is best for me and my family.
A final note, my cell phone number is correct but has been "locked out" until I return from deployment. Once I am back in Hawaii, please give me a call if you head my direction. |
