I served relatively briefly in the San Diego Mission from June, 1977 to August, 1977, while waiting for my visa to go to Brazil, which was where I was originally called. I served in the downtown area of San Diego with Elder Dale Wright and then in Yuma, Arizona with Elder Dan Foreman. After returning from Brazil I worked for about 10 years as a flight attendant with Pan Am. While there I met my wife Linda Alius, who was also working as a flight attendant. We have been married 21 years and have 5 children, 3 boys and 2 girls. The oldest, our son Christopher, is currently serving a mission in Antofagasta, Chile. While working as a flight attendant I went to college and law school and am now an attorney in California, currently working for the California Nurses Association. My current church calling is counselor in the Madera 2nd ward elders quorum. I am also currently serving as a school board member of our local school district. I enjoyed my brief time in the San Diego mission immensely. |
