I enjoyed school, but I am glad to have graduated (Sp 05). I was excited to start teaching. I have had some difficulty as it is a challenge for an 'in-experienced' teacher to get hired. With anything less than 3 years experience principals see you as a serious risk. One major minus brought about by "No Child Left Behind". I have recently made things interesting for my students by changing my name. Many have known me for over a year and now they have to remember a new name. Since I work in a minority school I already have students who call me by other 'white' teacher's names. November 18th was the start of the new chapter in my life, a great way to end the year. I hope you all have a great New Year and that you'll all have many wonderful things happen in your lives. : ) |
