Hello,
I wanted to let you know that my dad passed away on Sunday February 25th at 5 am. He had been ill for sometime. Last year he was diagnosed with cancer and underwent surgery. He then had to undergo radiation treatment.
In November he was in and out of the hospital. And in January ended up with Shingles and then Pneumonia. He was rushed to the Sackville Hospital for a week and then to Moncton City Hospital where he passed away. They drained over 2 litres of fluid from just one lung, Drs couldnt believe it. The fluid then started to be around his heart. The cancer also was back in his lungs and bones.
He is at peace now. And has the opportunity to be with all his loved ones family and friends.
His funeral was Wednesday the 28th in Amherst at the Furlong-Jones Cumberland Memorial Chapel. President Martin MacLennan officiated. Dad was the first endowed member to pass away in our area. It was a beautiful service with Brother Pettigrew talking about how dad loved to work, loved his cows and his old red truck..LOL.
The obituary is here:

It will be an adjustment to not have him here, but we know it will be only a brief time in comparison to how long eternity is.
He so loved all the missionaries who served in our area and talked about you all the time to family and friends.
Love and Prayers
April Wood
