While serving in the Dalhousie area my companion and I held Church services at the Point LaNimm community center. We baptised Geoff and Susan Rhodenizer. After years of no contact Geoff found me through this site and emailed me this response:
Dear Elder West,
Thought we would drop you a line to let you know that the baptism took! We were the couple you and Elder Law baptised in Dalhousoe, N.B. on June 11, 1976, in a swimming pool in campbellton. Susan and I were married for all time and eternity in June of 1984. Our three children are active. Our oldest, Josh is married and they are expecting their first. He served in the France Paris Mission. Josh is hoping to go to Med School. Our daughter, Tess, married an RM. He served in Louisiana and Mississippi. they have one child, 3 months old. Our youngest, Zac, is preparing to go on a mission next year when he turns 19. Currently I serve as Bishop of The Nechako ward here in Prince George, B.C. I prviously served 5 years on the stake council. Susan has been stake Young Womens Pres., ward relif society Pres., and now serves in Primary as a teacher. Just want you to know we are eternally grateful for your efforts in the mission field. Thanks, Geoff and Sue
Their son Zac is now serving his mission in Provo Utah. Just goes to show you what one baptism can do over a 25 year period. |
